Description Manoj Neelapareddy 2014-08-10 19:30:42 UTC
Description of problem:

it appears that mongodb-server package is missing from EPEL6 repo.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
visit any of the EPEL6 mirrors and you will notice that mongodb-server rpm is missing in EPEL 6 repo:

https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/publiclist/EPEL/6/x86_64/

I think this pkg got removed for some reason very recently from EPEL6 repos.

Actual results:

no mongodb-server rpm in EPEL6 repo

Expected results:
mongodb-server was earlier available in the repo is now missing. So, this needs to be added back to the repo.

Additional info:

Comment 1 Manoj Neelapareddy 2014-08-10 19:45:58 UTC
I see that mongodb-server is available in EPEL6 repo at following mirror:

http://ftp.is.co.za/mirror/fedora.redhat.com/epel/6/x86_64/

which ofcourse is not in sync with primary repo.

Comment 2 Kevin Fenzi 2014-08-11 02:37:47 UTC
It was removed due to unfixed/unfixable security issues.

Please talk with the security team: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Security_Team
about bringing it back.
