Description Max Swartz 2004-01-04 21:05:50 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0)

Description of problem:
While checking for badblocks on Primary Master drive,
particularly /usr partition, the installer crashes.

If I do not select for scanning for bad blocks, the installer proceds
to install as expected.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
standard components with RH7.3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot with net-install floppy.
2. Create /boot / swap /usr partitions on hda, check for bad sectors
on /usr
3. Select custom install with no extra components

Actual Results: The installer crashes with exception.

Expected Results: Check for bad sectors completed, then install to
go ahead.

Additional info:

Well I saved the dump on a floppy, if anyone wants it I have uploaded
it to http://max62.hypermart.net/anacdump.txt

This is fixed in newer releases. Red Hat Linux 7.3 is no longer a
supported release of Red Hat Linux.
