Description of problem:
installation will not recognize
Seagate ST380023 AS SATA drive

on ASUS A7V600 motherbpard, VIA SATA drivers?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.try to install Rh 9 

2. install program says no disk!
3.
    

Actual Results:  no installation was possible

Expected Results:  should have recognized main disk and proceed with
install

Additional info:

I suppose that disk is not yet known toRed Hat?It is over 6 months
old, though, and it works under Windows 2000 and XP. ASUS has no Linux
drivers.

Red Hat Linux 9 does not support SATA, you'll need to move to Fedora
Core 1 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 for SATA support.
