Description Lior Vernia 2014-08-27 18:48:34 UTC
Description of problem:

vNIC re-ordering (allocation of MAC addresses by order in oVirt) will currently only work if a user has network configuration permissions on the VM, when in fact VmCreator should be enough (as this doesn't allow creation of extra NICs, it's really a part of the VM creation process).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

oVirt 3.5, likely since 3.4.

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:

Just have a user with lacking permissions create a VM with default NICs (as in template).

Actual results:

Warning in the log, random ordering.

Expected results:

No warning, NICs ordered.

oVirt 3.5 has been released and should include the fix for this issue.
