Description Susi Lehtola 2014-09-11 18:53:11 UTC
Hi,

The current version of mpqc in Fedora is 5 years(!) old, so an update would be in order.

The current upstream of mpqc is at
 https://github.com/ValeevGroup/mpqc
which seems to be actively maintained.

Comment 1 Christopher Meng 2014-09-13 01:30:19 UTC
I will do this soon. I need to ask upstream to tag it soon. Or I will checkout from git.

Is it ok for f21 ?

Comment 2 Susi Lehtola 2014-09-14 04:39:24 UTC
I guess so. I haven't used mpqc myself.
And I don't really know if anyone is using it.

Comment 3 Jaroslav Reznik 2015-03-03 17:03:50 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 6 Mamoru TASAKA 2016-04-25 03:30:50 UTC
Well, as discussed on
https://github.com/ValeevGroup/mpqc/issues/27

currently I am not sure what is the _released_ latest tag or what "new" feature is added in the git head compared to 2.3.1 (current tarball Fedora uses). I would be happy if the upstream really _releases_ new tarball...

Comment 7 Jan Kurik 2016-07-26 04:49:43 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 25 development cycle.
Changing version to '25'.

Comment 8 Fedora End Of Life 2017-11-16 19:00:16 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '25'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 25 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 9 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2023-07-18 12:13:55 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
