Description of problem:
This kind of failure pops up very frequently. I usually just work with gnome applications or web browser when it comes up. I didn't find any specific activity that would initiate this error.

Another user experienced a similar problem:

1. Open the 'Birdie' application
2. Click on "Add an existing Twitter account"
3. Provide your name and password
4. Click the approve app button
