Looks like pexpect has this issue. Once switching to pexpect. ... and actually this looks like python bug. When I apply https://hg.python.org/cpython/raw-rev/e5e425fd1e4f to python-2.7.5-13.fc20, catfish (on i686) launches with no problem (However now test suite seems to fail on koji with the patch above applied...) Switching to python. ref: http://bugs.python.org/issue17998 For people seeing this catfish issue on i686, please try python scratch package on: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/scratch/mtasaka/task_7725670/ Installing both the python and python-libs packages featured in Comment 5 got Catfish working again for me. Nothing being broadcast through Terminal (which is good). [kernel 3.16.4-200.fc20.i686] This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component. The solution provided in comment #5 does not exist any more. Is there an ability to know where to find it ? yhx This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life.
