screen shot

Description of problem:
In the stage of manual partitioning, I have been trapped in the loop of "DISK ENCRYPTION PASSPHRASE" dialog when the encrypt device function has been chosen.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda 21.48.6-1

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot the installer using any available means
2.Select the appropriate disk, and use the custom partitioning screen to create disk layout
3.Proceed with the installation

Actual results:
No matter whatever password you have setted, it always lead you to a new "DISK ENCRYPTION PASSPHRASE" dialog.

Expected results:
Anaconda should succesfully create filesystem types.

In the process, I have chosen the custom partition.

Great catch. Please also propose as a blocker next time, thanks. This seems to violate https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_21_Beta_Release_Criteria#Guided_partitioning . Proposing as a beta blocker.

Ok, thanks.

Discussed in 2014-09-24 Blocker Review meeting [1]. Rejected as a blocker. We can't reproduce this bug. Please test again and repropose with reproduction steps if it persists. Please include as many details as possible, or even a video to properly show all the steps. Thank you.

My image file is downloaded from "https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/21_Alpha_RC1/Server/i386/iso/Fedora-Server-DVD-i386-21_Alpha.iso", and is lanched in kvm. When I start anaconda, I choose English language first, then it jumps to the pane just as the 0.png in attachment shows. Then I click the "INSTALLATION DESTINATION" button, and choose "I will configure partitioning.". In the new page, I delete the old partition just as 01.png shows. Finally I create two mount points which are "/ 5000" and "/boot 800", and choose the "Encrypt". What happens next are just shown in the attachments from 1.png to 5.png.

I didn't have i386 DVD around, so I used x86_64. I wasn't able to reproduce this, but on the other hand I'm not really sure I used exactly the same approach as Tao did.

Anaconda developers, if it is not obvious from the logs what happened, let's ask Tao to capture a short video and we can try to reproduce with exactly the same steps.

I'm not able to reproduce this. The custom partitioning spoke doesn't exit on the first "Done" click because of the storage warning, but clicking Done again exits without prompting for the passphrase again. If I do change things and get another passphrase prompt, it's pre-filled with the previous passphrase.
