Description of problem:
The ability to type umlauts in TeX mode got lost somewhere between fc18 and fc20

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
emacs-24.3-24.fc20

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Activate TeX input mode (C-x RET C-\ TeX)
2. Type \"u

Actual results:
it produces: ṳ

Expected results:
should produce: ü

Additional info:

thanks for the bug.
Reference to patch is probably wrong.

Could you please include a proper one?

Bug is corrected.

other branches are already fixed.
