Description of problem:
Machine locks up for 5 seconds when loading trident sound card module.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the sound card for something so the module is caused to load

Actual Results:  Machine locks up for 5 seconds when loading trident
sound card module.

Expected Results:  Module should not lock the whole machine or take
this long to load.

I forgot to mention that the machine is a Toshiba Portege 2010.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
