I had this same crash on intel GM965. I updated to today's git snapshot, and it stop locking up. @yp: assume git snapshot for intel driver? yes, git snapshot of xorg-x11-drv-intel. @yp: any chance you have an .srpm for the snapshot? Or a copr? Me too on an old X61. Found workaround by putting nomodeset as a boot option, but this is not ideal as brightness control is gone, and blank after suspend. I have not tried git snapshot. seeing the same on x61 will try the nomodeset workaround until a new intel driver appears in f21 downgrading to xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.914-2.fc21.x86_64 from http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=7794 helps too tested snapshot as per comment #2, it works great for me. Can we request bump of xorg-x11-drv-intel? Or I could put the srpm up on copr? Perhaps a dupe of #1148493? I'd guess the same, or at least, it should be fixed by https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2014-15269/xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.916-3.20141117.fc21 . Can affected folks please confirm that with that xorg-x11-drv-intel this is resolved? Thanks! Yes, fixed! Happy to see this in the release. |
