Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep clamscan /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:antivirus_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context system_u:object_r:sysctl_rpc_t:s0 Target Objects [ dir ] Source clamscan Source Path /usr/bin/clamscan Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages clamav-0.98.4-1.fc20.x86_64 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.12.1-183.fc20.noarch Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux p74101l.cdhb.local 3.16.3-200.fc20.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Sep 17 22:34:21 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 2 First Seen 2014-10-13 09:14:05 NZDT Last Seen 2014-10-13 09:14:05 NZDT Local ID d41d6f7c-2ba4-4a98-a3a1-17ae153c5db9 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1413144845.587:211): avc: denied { read } for pid=25947 comm="clamscan" name="rpc" dev="proc" ino=4026532217 scontext=system_u:system_r:antivirus_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:sysctl_rpc_t:s0 tclass=dir permissive=0 type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1413144845.587:211): arch=x86_64 syscall=openat success=no exit=EACCES a0=ffffffffffffff9c a1=2084e20 a2=90800 a3=0 items=0 ppid=25944 pid=25947 auid=0 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=4 comm=clamscan exe=/usr/bin/clamscan subj=system_u:system_r:antivirus_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: clamscan,antivirus_t,sysctl_rpc_t,dir,read
