dmesg output from the system booting on a previous Slackware installation none

Description David G. Mackay 2004-02-13 16:28:32 UTC
Description of problem:
When I try and boot from the installation CD, I see the loading
vmlinuz and loading initrd messages, then the system reboots. It is
an old AMD-K6 system that I use for a testbed. I can boot a Sony Vaio
laptop from the same CD, and I verified the CD against the iso image.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
FC2-test1-i386-disc1.iso

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot from installation CD
2.
3.

Actual Results: Reboots before I actually see any messages from the
kernel boot process

Expected Results: Boot and run anaconda

Additional info:

I also tried a "linux text" boot with the same results.

As mentioned in the release notes, test1 won't boot on anything less
than a 686. This has already been fixed for future releases.
