Description anish 2014-10-29 09:03:02 UTC
Description of problem:
After installation of fedora, I ran g-i-s and select mr-itrans as input method and lock the screen.
At the time of installation I had chosen English password but now only one input method is visible. I can't log into system.
I have attached screenshot for reference.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

This is sort of a duplicate of bug#1148358, where I reported the same
problem for Japanese.

But for Japanese the problem is less bad than what we have here
for Marathi because of 2 reasons:

1) Japanese input methods do get disabled automatically on the lock
   screen password widget.
Because of bug#1151429, ibus-m17n input methods like mr-itrans
do not get disabled automatically on the lock screen (old bug
which exists already in f20). And the ibus-m17n input methods
do not have a direct input mode so one is really screwed
when no other input method is available on the lock screen.

2) The Japanese input methods have a direct input
mode, i.e. even the Japanese input method is the
only one configured *and* even if this fails to be disabled
on the lock screen, one can still switch to the direct mode
of the Japanese input method manually to input the password.
(see bug#1151429, all ibus input methods were enabled on the lock
screen in f21 alpha versions for a while but then the problem
disappeared (reason unknown) and remained only for
   the ibus-m17n input methods)
