Now pushed upstream: commit 7ead1a5d91a93b5614deeef7b0227bffcea9740d Author: Ján Tomko <jtomko> CommitDate: 2014-11-04 13:40:45 +0100 Do not probe for power mgmt capabilities in lxc emulator It fails after 30 seconds with this error: error : virDBusCall:1429 : error from service: CanSuspend: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Only probe for the power mgmt capabilities when driver is non-NULL. This speeds up domain startup by 30 seconds. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1159227 git describe: v1.2.10-16-g7ead1a5 Verify it with libvirt-1.2.8-6.el7.x86_64 # cat lxc.xml <domain type='lxc'> <name>lxc-test</name> <memory unit='KiB'>1048576</memory> <currentMemory unit='KiB'>1048576</currentMemory> <vcpu placement='static'>1</vcpu> <os> <type arch='x86_64'>exe</type> <init>/bin/sh</init> </os> <clock offset='utc'> <timer name='rtc' tickpolicy='catchup'/> <timer name='pit' tickpolicy='delay'/> <timer name='hpet' present='no'/> </clock> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/libexec/libvirt_lxc</emulator> <interface type='network'> <mac address='52:54:00:8f:13:eb'/> <source network='default'/> </interface> <console type='pty'/> </devices> </domain> # virsh -c lxc:/// define lxc.xml Domain lxc-test defined from lxc.xml # time virsh -c lxc:/// start lxc-test Domain lxc-test started real 0m0.413s user 0m0.015s sys 0m0.006s As lxc startup is not slow again, mark it as verified Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
