Description Endi Sukma Dewata 2014-11-01 04:20:59 UTC
The current python-nss does not provide the interface needed to perform encryption using public/private key as shown in the following NSS example:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Projects/NSS/nss_sample_code/NSS_Sample_Code_sample5

Comment 1 John Dennis 2014-11-11 22:31:29 UTC
Endi:

Based on current discussions the feeling is you should be using python-cryptography. The (new) stake in the ground is we're not going to extend python-nss unless there is no other way to get the functionality.

Are you able to proceed with just using python-cryptology?

Comment 2 Endi Sukma Dewata 2015-01-26 14:42:12 UTC
Yes, python-cryptography is sufficient to implement password vault in IPA. Thanks.

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 12:21:19 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
