regression was found in 4.2.17.Final, therefore 4.2.17.SP1 was released and it is used in EAP 6.3.3.CP.CR1

4.2.17.Final has never been included in any 6.3.3 release

Hibernate version in 6.3.x actually goes from 4.2.14.SP4 (EAP 6.3.2) to 4.2.17.SP1 (EAP 6.3.3.CR1)
