Description of problem:
1. Create a temporary, empty repository:

$ mkdir tmp
$ createrepo_c tmp

2. Try to merge that empty repo with the JPackage one:

$ mergerepo_c --all -k --simple-md-filenames -a x86_64 -o /tmp/repo -r http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/ftp/pub/Linux/jpackage/5.0/generic/free/ -r tmp/

The mergerepo_c command fails with core dumped.
