Description leigh scott 2014-11-14 17:30:35 UTC
Description of problem: I can't compile nemo-dropbox or caja-dropbox on a build server without X running due to the nodisplay patch.

https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo-extensions/issues/59

Actual results:

Compile fails

Expected results:

I expect code to compile without X or additional hacks (fake X).

Additional info:

This patch was added to fix some program that never existed in fedora (system-config-authentication).

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=208608

Please revert it as it is causing more issues than it fixes,

I have the same probs with my package caja-dropbox from rpmfusion.
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/development/rawhide/source/SRPMS/repoview/caja-dropbox.html
And i had to do a very ugly hack to build that package everytime.
So, removing this patch would be great.

Thank you

Any news?

Comment 4 Colin Walters 2014-12-06 15:40:22 UTC
I don't have time to touch this sorry, it seems like it's going to be a case of "fix one thing, break another" without a lot of work.

Reverting a longstanding behavior, bug or not, in the oldstable branch seems like a bad idea to me. Also dubious as an early stable update.
