Description Dave Love 2014-12-12 14:53:33 UTC
Description of problem:

Version 2014.06.001 has the ability to select the kernel version dynamically,
which is useful for those of us with heterogeneous clusters.

It's not ideal because it's done through the environment rather than cpuid, and
doesn't default to SSE2 on x86_64 -- I'll have a look at that -- but is a definite
improvement. I packaged it as
https://loveshack.fedorapeople.org/copr/elpa-2014.06.001-1.el6.src.rpm
but that has changes for EPEL6. Also the soname is bumped, but I don't
know if it strictly needs to be, and I'd guess it's worth the incompatibility in
this new-ish package anyway.

Thanks for the effort, but actually, I haven't built any version of elpa for EL6 yet. I was focusing on Fedora first to iron out any wrinkles. I'll probably go for the latest release now, anyway.
