I'm running Fedora 21, emacs-24.4-3.fc21.x86_64 and emacs-goodies-35.8-3.fc21.noarch.

When I open Gnus and try to compose a message, it complains:

"Autoloading failed to define function gnus-nnir-group-p"

This is because there is a file named:

/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/gnus-bonus/nnir.elc

which shadows the correct nnir.elc file:

/usr/share/emacs/24.4/lisp/gnus/nnir.elc

The shadowed file contains the correct definition of gnus-nnir-group-p, but the former file does not.  An obvious workaround is to uninstall emacs-goodies; another one is to follow the advice in this message: <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-gnus-english/2013-04/msg00061.html>.

I also found this bug: <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=768381>.  Since emacs-goodies is a Debian package, I think it may be interesting to follow up on that.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

This also affects Fedora 21.

This problem still exists with Fedora 25.
