Description Ryan Barry 2015-01-12 19:34:27 UTC
Created attachment 979304 [details]
console log

Description of problem:
Kdump to LVM LV on RHEV-H does not succeed -- times out waiting to mount in the kdump initramfs

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kexec-tools-2.0.7-8.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install RHEV-H 7
2. Local kdump is already configured
3. Rebuild initramfs with dmsquash-live included
4. Trigger a dump

Actual results:
Timeout in the kdump initramfs waiting for the LV to be available.

Dracut debug shell shows that no LVM groups are active. Manually activating them creates no devices in /dev/mapper or /dev/HostVG

Expected results:
kdump works

Additional info:
Output from the serial console of a vm booted with "rd.debug rdudevdebug verbose debug" is attached, where the problem can hopefully be located.

Please needinfo myself or Fabian if you need help installing or configuring RHEV-H
