Description Brian Lane 2015-01-14 23:16:06 UTC
img-lib needs tar, but if tar isn't installed it fails, causing dmsquash-live to also fail. The problem isn't obvious unless you run dracut with --debug.

I think dracut should probably add a requirement on tar.

I should make dmsquash-live and livenet a subpackage, which requires tar

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

The problem has a workaround

Change option "hostonly" to "no" in file /usr/lib/dracut/dracut.conf.d/01-dist.conf, or just comment it.

And all will be OK.

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 12:38:49 UTC

Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.
