A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot component in OpenJDK verified bytecode from the class files. An untrusted Java application or applet could possibly use this flaw to bypass Java sandbox restrictions.

A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot JVM class file verifier verified invokespecial calls.  An untrusted Java application or applet could use this flaw to bypass Java sandbox restrictions.

Public now via Oracle Critical Patch Update - January 2015.  Fixed in Oracle Java SE 6u91, 7u75, and 8u31.
