Vulnerability in the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL (subcomponent: Server : Pluggable Auth). Supported versions that are affected are 5.6.21 and earlier. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows successful authenticated network attacks via multiple protocols. Successful attack of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server.

Statement:

This issue did not affect the versions of mysql or mysql55 as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 or 7 as it only affects MySQL 5.6.x which are not shipped with these versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
