Description stan 2015-01-22 20:26:27 UTC
Description of problem:
While using firefox 34 in X, when the extra buttons on the track ball are pressed, the signal doesn't seem to reach firefox, and they don't work as back and forward buttons.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Name : xorg-x11-server-common
Version : 1.16.2.901
Release : 1.fc21
Architecture: x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start X in F21 from multiuser using startx
2. Start firefox, go at least two links deep.
3. Press button 3 to go back a link.

Actual results:
No response.

Expected results:
Firefox goes back a link.

Additional info:
This works fine in F20 using the identical hardware. The evdev configuration file is the same in the two environments. The trackball and mouse work fine in all other ways. Just this discrepancy in behavior is evident.

Hi,

Thanks for the bug-report. Do you have xorg-x11-drv-libinput installed? If you do please try this update:

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/xorg-x11-drv-libinput-0.4.0-1.fc21

Which should fix this.

Regards,

Hans
