Description Vít Ondruch 2015-01-26 15:40:27 UTC
Description of problem:
LVM thin pool report was introduced by bug 1167761, but the utilization is not reported for me. This is what I always get:

INFO: LVM plugin enabled. Allocated pool data: None%. Allocated metadata: None%.

and this is my LVM configuration:

config_opts['plugin_conf']['lvm_root_opts'] = {
    'volume_group': 'vg_fedora',
    'size': '15G',
    'pool_name': 'mock',
}

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
$ rpm -q mock-lvm
mock-lvm-1.2.4-1.fc21.noarch

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
LVM pool utilization is not reported.

Expected results:
LVM pool utilization is reported.

Additional info:
Might it be due to wrong default, or that the default configuration override overrides also the "config_opts['plugin_conf']['lvm_root_opts']['check_size']"? I would consider this bug anyway :)

Comment 1 Miroslav Suchý 2015-01-26 16:31:31 UTC
Output of lvdisplay |grep Allocated
  Allocated pool data    63,68%
  Allocated metadata     32,13%

There is coma instead of dot. Which is likely due non standard LC_NUMERIC.

Fixed by:
  * 1ba8fc8 reset LC before calling lvm commands [RHBZ#1185912]
