Description Reiner Rottmann 2015-01-28 18:28:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Currently it is impossible to install python-pygit2 in Rawhide.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install -y python-pygit2
2.
3.

Actual results:
[root@localhost ~]# dnf install -y python-pygit2
Error: nothing provides libgit2.so.21()(64bit) needed by python-pygit2-0.21.4-1.fc22.x86_64

Expected results:
Successful installation

Additional info:
I've created a rpm with a bumped python-pygit upstream version during package creation in bz#1181317. With that rpm, the dependency is met.

Comment 1 Mathieu Bridon 2015-01-28 18:52:49 UTC
Yeah, I know.

I've tried updating pygit2 when libgit2 got updated in Rawhide, the problem is that it actually doesn't build/work on i686.

https://github.com/libgit2/pygit2/issues/477

At this point, we need to get this issue fixed first, then we can update pygit2.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks to upstream's work, I just managed to build pygit2 in Rawhide.

Closing.
