I have this problem too except that after unpausing, there will be
five seconds of silence and then the sound will play at double speed
but with pauses and clicks. It's like the sound is coming at double
speed and the pauses are resyncing it back to normal speed. I'm using
rhythmbox-0.6.8-2 with gstreamer-0.8.0-1 playing an ogg file.

This issue will be fixed with the pending upgrade to Rhythmbox 0.7.1.

Adding a little keyword so I can search easily:
PENDING_0_7_1
