With RHEL7.1 java-1.6.0-openjdk package doesn't contain in provides "java" (it contains only "java6".
This breaks compatibility with packages from EAP channel which requires "java".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.34-1.13.6.1.el7_0

How reproducible:
always

Actual results:
The package provides "java6 = 1:1.6.0"

Expected results:
The package also provides "java = 1:1.6.0"

Comment 2 Deepak Bhole 2015-02-05 14:47:22 UTC
Hi, this is intentional. On RHEL-7, OpenJDK6 is provided strictly for legacy, self-contained 3rd party applications. The missing java provision ensures that it will not accidentally satisfy a dependency for base RHEL packages.
