samba/ctdb dependencies were removed in update 3 release (refer bz#1160936). The only samba dependency I see is samba-glusterfs. Do you mean samba-glusterfs has to be removed too? Patch is under review at https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/42361/ Verified as fixed in redhat-storage-server-3.0.4.0-1.el6rhs.noarch The samba dependencies has been removed from the above redhat-storage-server package. Tested and verified the following as well: 1. Layered install of RHSS 3.0.4 is not pulling in any samba packages. 2. Removing existing samba packages (latest in live) will not remove redhat-storage-server package. 3. Upgrade from 3.0.3 async to 3.0.4 works before enabling the latest samba repo. 4. Upgrade from 3.0.3 async to 3.0.4 works after enabling the latest samba repo. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
