Description Dan Tully 2004-03-25 13:19:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Anoconda continues to probe hardware even though the noprobe option
is selected when attempting to load the AMD 64 version of FEDORA Core
1.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): AMD 64
Version of FEDPRA Core 1.

How reproducible: Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the ISO of the AMD Version of FEDORA Core 1.
2. From the prompt at loading enter linus noprobe
3. After checking the CDs, Anoconda loads and checks the hardware.

Actual results: Hardware is probed with or without the noprobe
option.

Expected results: Hardware not probed and user allowed to specify
all hardware options durin the loading process.

Additional info: When Anoconda identifies a device, the user is not
allowed to see the device properties of modify the device even if it
fails when loading the OS after installation.

Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2004-03-25 19:44:41 UTC
noprobe only affects the loading of scsi and network modules.
