Caused by running this https://github.com/thinkrad/tunneler/ Another user experienced a similar problem: - I installed Fedora 22 nightly build (2015-04-09), Workstation, 64 Bit, LiveCD, pre beta. - rebooted - updated whole system - rebooted - changed login session to gnome wayland -> failed - changed login session to gnome classic -> it works, but this crash is reported, nevertheless it seems to run all fine reporter: libreport-2.5.0 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell --wayland --display-server crash_function: _g_log_abort executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell global_pid: 1554 kernel: 4.0.0-0.rc5.git4.1.fc22.x86_64 package: gnome-shell-3.16.0-1.fc22 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGTRAP runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 additional info to comment 12: This is an old computer - Pentium 4 - GeForce FX 5200 lspci -nn 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82865G/PE/P DRAM Controller/Host-Hub Interface [8086:2570] (rev 02) 00:01.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82865G/PE/P AGP Bridge [8086:2571] (rev 02) 00:06.0 System peripheral [0880]: Intel Corporation 82865G/PE/P Processor to I/O Memory Interface [8086:2576] (rev 02) 00:1d.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB UHCI Controller #1 [8086:24d2] (rev 02) 00:1d.1 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB UHCI Controller #2 [8086:24d4] (rev 02) 00:1d.2 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB UHCI Controller #3 [8086:24d7] (rev 02) 00:1d.3 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB UHCI Controller #4 [8086:24de] (rev 02) 00:1d.7 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) USB2 EHCI Controller [8086:24dd] (rev 02) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge [8086:244e] (rev c2) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) LPC Interface Bridge [8086:24d0] (rev 02) 00:1f.2 IDE interface [0101]: Intel Corporation 82801EB (ICH5) SATA Controller [8086:24d1] (rev 02) 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) SMBus Controller [8086:24d3] (rev 02) 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller [8086:24d5] (rev 02) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] [10de:0322] (rev a1) 02:09.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller [11ab:4320] (rev 13) Another user experienced a similar problem: when i'm trying to show application menu. reporter: libreport-2.5.1 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: _g_log_abort executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell global_pid: 2580 kernel: 4.0.4-301.fc22.x86_64 package: gnome-shell-3.16.2-1.fc22 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGTRAP runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 Lubomir: tunneler seems to work fine with a fully updated Fedora. Is this still a problem for you? I see this (at least, ABRT says it's the same crash -- https://retrace.fedoraproject.org/faf/reports/660220/) every time GNOME Shell finishes hiding the "shield" steps to reproduce: 1. lock screen manually, or allow g-s to switch off screen or lock after timeout 2. if locked, enter password & press "return" (or click "unlock") -- otherwise use "escape" or click'n'drag up to hide shield 3. applications, g-s GUI elements displayed expected: Can interact with now-visible apps and GNOME shell. actual: Mouse pointer responds to mouse movement but no other interaction possible. After a couple of seconds, window decorations disappear, windows from other workspaces are briefly visible and then the desktop "zoom-in" animation plays -- i.e. g-s crashes and restarts itself. ABRT reports the above-linked crash Another user experienced a similar problem: Last input I recall before the crash was moving a Wine/Firefox/Flash window; however, I am not certain if that actually caused the problem. reporter: libreport-2.6.1 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: _g_log_abort executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell global_pid: 2029 kernel: 4.0.8-300.fc22.x86_64+debug package: gnome-shell-3.16.3-1.fc22 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGTRAP runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 The same problem, but to reproduce this I suggest you try the folowing: 1. Open chrome browser 2. Press Ctrl+Shift+I 3. Try drag an inspected element to different place. 4. And Olialia - Gnome crashed. Looks like problem is about dragging something. *** Bug 1318820 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19.
