Description Elyézer Rezende 2015-03-04 23:11:17 UTC
Description of problem:
Creating a new docker container using New Container wizard does not show clearly or in a intuitive way that an image was not found in the selected docker-based compute resource.

That search box does two things 1) it searches on the selected compute resource for the image and 2) it searches the docker registry if the magnifying glass icon is clicked.

In terms of usability would be better if it first search on the selected compute resource and, if the image is not found, ask the user if he/she want to search the docker hub registry.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite-6.1.0-RHEL-7-20150303.0

How reproducible:
Aways

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to New Container and select a previous created Docker-based compute resource
2. Go to next step, and select the Docker Hub tab
3. Type an image name that does not exists on the selected compute resource, a red X icon should be displayed on the right of the search field.
4. Put the mouse over the red X icon to see the message "Image NOT found in the compute resource"

Actual results:
The status text is hidden until the the icon is hovered.

Expected results:
Better status for the user without the need to figure out that he/she should put the mouse over that icon

Additional info:
If the image is available in the compute resource will be displayed a green check mark. To know that it represents that the image was found in the compute resource, again, the user will need to put the mouse over that icon

This is an older bug which I do not envision being fixed in the near term. I am closing this out. If you believe doing so is an issue, please feel free to re-open and provide additional business information. Thank you.
