The dmesg listing
There is no lsusb command in the network install. Here is one from the same computer using Fedora21 Bus 002 Device 003: ID 04f9:0042 Brother Industries, Ltd HL-2270DW Laser Printer Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 008 Device 002: ID 046d:08d7 Logitech, Inc. Hi, Thanks for the logs, looking at the dmesg you've attached the kernel is seeing the "Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver" for your wireless mouse just fine, but never loads a driver for it. What I believe is happening here is that the anaconda install environment is missing the kernel module for the logitech unifying receiver hid support (which has its own driver), so I'm moving this back to anaconda. Can you please do "lsmod" on your working F-21 install and copy and paste the output here, so that the anaconda team can see which kernel module is missing in the installer environment ? Regards, Hans p.s. Anaconda team, logitech unifying receivers are quite popular, so we should really fix this before the F-22 beta. Ok, what driver does it use? Hi David, (In reply to David Shea from comment #7) > Ok, what driver does it use? I don't have such a device myself, so I'm not 100% sure which is why I asked for a lsmod on the working F-21 install Leslie has. I think you need both hid-logitech-dj and hid-logitech-hidpp. Regards, Hans Hi Hans and David Please Note. While the anaconda for the network installation does not detect the wireless mouse, the Live CD version does in fact, recognize the mouse. The network install from Fedora21 worked properly too. As requested, I am pasting the lsmod from this same system lsmod Module Size Used by uas 22414 0 usb_storage 65065 1 uas bnep 19543 2 bluetooth 463099 5 bnep rfkill 21980 3 bluetooth fuse 91371 3 xt_CHECKSUM 12549 1 ipt_MASQUERADE 12678 3 nf_nat_masquerade_ipv4 13203 1 ipt_MASQUERADE tun 27183 1 nf_conntrack_netbios_ns 12665 0 nf_conntrack_broadcast 12527 1 nf_conntrack_netbios_ns ip6t_rpfilter 12546 1 ip6t_REJECT 12625 2 nf_reject_ipv6 13301 1 ip6t_REJECT xt_conntrack 12760 20 ebtable_nat 12807 0 ebtable_broute 12731 0 bridge 107941 1 ebtable_broute stp 12868 1 bridge llc 13941 2 stp,bridge ebtable_filter 12827 0 ebtables 30758 3 ebtable_broute,ebtable_nat,ebtable_filter ip6table_nat 12864 1 nf_conntrack_ipv6 18738 11 nf_defrag_ipv6 34786 1 nf_conntrack_ipv6 nf_nat_ipv6 13862 1 ip6table_nat ip6table_mangle 12700 1 ip6table_security 12710 1 ip6table_raw 12683 1 ip6table_filter 12815 1 ip6_tables 26809 5 ip6table_filter,ip6table_mangle,ip6table_security,ip6table_nat,ip6table_raw iptable_nat 12875 1 nf_conntrack_ipv4 14656 11 nf_defrag_ipv4 12702 1 nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_nat_ipv4 13848 1 iptable_nat nf_nat 25180 3 nf_nat_ipv4,nf_nat_ipv6,nf_nat_masquerade_ipv4 nf_conntrack 103513 9 nf_conntrack_netbios_ns,nf_nat,nf_nat_ipv4,nf_nat_ipv6,xt_conntrack,nf_nat_masquerade_ipv4,nf_conntrack_broadcast,nf_conntrack_ipv4,nf_conntrack_ipv6 iptable_mangle 12695 1 iptable_security 12705 1 iptable_raw 12678 1 snd_usb_audio 169928 2 snd_usbmidi_lib 29855 1 snd_usb_audio snd_rawmidi 29794 1 snd_usbmidi_lib iTCO_wdt 13480 0 iTCO_vendor_support 13419 1 iTCO_wdt coretemp 13441 0 gspca_zc3xx 60745 0 gspca_main 36266 1 gspca_zc3xx videodev 152476 2 gspca_main,gspca_zc3xx lpc_ich 21093 0 media 20906 1 videodev i2c_i801 18146 0 serio_raw 13434 0 mfd_core 13182 1 lpc_ich usblp 18757 0 tpm_infineon 17131 0 tpm_tis 18581 0 snd_hda_codec_realtek 79613 1 snd_hda_codec_generic 67600 1 snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_codec_hdmi 51915 1 snd_hda_intel 30520 7 snd_hda_controller 30786 1 snd_hda_intel snd_hda_codec 135263 5 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_controller snd_hwdep 17650 2 snd_usb_audio,snd_hda_codec tpm 35109 2 tpm_tis,tpm_infineon snd_seq 70458 0 snd_seq_device 14136 2 snd_seq,snd_rawmidi snd_pcm 105212 5 snd_usb_audio,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_controller asus_atk0110 18659 0 snd_timer 28778 2 snd_pcm,snd_seq snd 80001 31 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_usb_audio,snd_hwdep,snd_timer,snd_hda_codec_hdmi,snd_pcm,snd_seq,snd_rawmidi,snd_hda_codec_generic,snd_usbmidi_lib,snd_hda_codec,snd_hda_intel,snd_seq_device shpchp 37040 0 acpi_cpufreq 19433 0 soundcore 14496 2 snd,snd_hda_codec nfsd 293485 1 auth_rpcgss 58540 1 nfsd nfs_acl 12741 1 nfsd lockd 92864 1 nfsd grace 13094 2 nfsd,lockd sunrpc 283393 7 nfsd,auth_rpcgss,lockd,nfs_acl xfs 930025 2 libcrc32c 12603 1 xfs ata_generic 12923 0 pata_acpi 13053 0 radeon 1568621 4 i2c_algo_bit 13250 1 radeon drm_kms_helper 93738 1 radeon ttm 92999 1 radeon drm 305543 7 ttm,drm_kms_helper,radeon atl1e 42268 0 hid_logitech_dj 18447 0 pata_marvell 12940 0 Hi, Ok, so likely hid_logitech_dj is missing from the anaconda netinstall images, note that it would be good to also add hid-logitech-hidpp to avoid similar issue with other logitech devices in the future. Regards, Hans The modules are in drivers/hid and are being removed by lorax. Please advise (update this bug) when the next network install ISO is out. Will it be within Beta-TC3? It isn't on the blocker list, so it'll only be going to master. lorax-22.7-1.fc22 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 22. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/lorax-22.7-1.fc22 Package lorax-22.7-1.fc22: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 22 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
