Never do testing at 2am in the morning.

Can you please switch to a text-console when things do not work and collect the output of
"dmesg" and "lsusb", and copy and attach those here?

Mouse is a Logitech.

Comment 6 Hans de Goede 2015-03-17 11:26:49 UTC
Hi,

Thanks for the logs, looking at the dmesg you've attached the kernel is seeing the "Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver" for your wireless mouse just fine, but never loads a driver for it.

What I believe is happening here is that the anaconda install environment is missing the kernel module for the logitech unifying receiver hid support (which has its own driver), so I'm moving this back to anaconda. Can you please do "lsmod" on your working F-21 install and copy and paste the output here, so that the anaconda team can see which kernel module is missing in the installer environment ?

Regards,

Hans

p.s.

Anaconda team, logitech unifying receivers are quite popular, so we should really fix this before the F-22 beta.

Comment 7 David Shea 2015-03-17 13:33:41 UTC
Ok, what driver does it use?

Comment 8 Hans de Goede 2015-03-17 13:50:17 UTC
Hi David,

(In reply to David Shea from comment #7)
> Ok, what driver does it use?

I don't have such a device myself, so I'm not 100% sure which is why I asked for a lsmod on the working F-21 install Leslie has. I think you need both hid-logitech-dj and hid-logitech-hidpp.

Regards,

Hans

Comment 9 Leslie Satenstein 2015-03-17 17:10:13 UTC
Hi Hans and David

Please Note. While the anaconda for the network installation does not detect the wireless mouse, the Live CD version does in fact, recognize the mouse.

The network install from Fedora21 worked properly too.

As requested, I am pasting the lsmod from this same system

Hi,

Ok, so likely hid_logitech_dj is missing from the anaconda netinstall images, note that it would be good to also add hid-logitech-hidpp to avoid similar issue with other logitech devices in the future.

Regards,

Hans

Comment 11 David Shea 2015-03-17 18:23:55 UTC
The modules are in drivers/hid and are being removed by lorax.

Please advise (update this bug) when the next network install ISO is out. Will it be within Beta-TC3?

Comment 14 Brian Lane 2015-03-19 16:08:46 UTC
It isn't on the blocker list, so it'll only be going to master.
