Description Benjamin Tissoires 2015-03-11 11:29:35 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1186105 +++

Description of problem:
The 10/2014 series of the Lenovo *40 series has updated firmware for the touchpad, making the current quirks unnecessary. Alas, the coordinate ranges for the touchpad have changed too, so the current quirks now apply the wrong range.

--- Additional comment from Hans de Goede on 2015-01-27 11:42:30 EST ---

A patch series fixing this has been posted upstream:

https://www.mail-archive.com/linux-input@vger.kernel.org/msg14832.html

--- Additional comment from Benjamin Tissoires on 2015-03-09 15:39:59 EDT ---

Patches finally showed up in a branch of the input maintainer's tree:
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/dtor/input.git/log/?h=synaptics

If the tests are going well, they will be scheduled for 4.0.
