Description Karsten Wade 2004-04-05 23:11:36 UTC
Description of problem:

I received a (helpful) email from bugzilla today reminding
me about some stagnant bugs in my list. The URLs in the email are
incorrect. There is a substitution of 'bugzilla-devel-2.17' for
'bugzilla' in the URL.

You have one or more bugs assigned to you in Bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla-devel-2.17/) that require attention.

(1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's NOTABUG),
and so you get rid of it immediately.
(2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to
someone
else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that
the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign
bug to
    owner of selected component" option.)
(3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment.
Just use the "Accept bug" (ASSIGNED) command.

To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if
you like!):
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla-devel-2.17/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&assigned_to=kwade@redhat.com

Comment 2 David Lawrence 2004-04-06 07:35:14 UTC
Yeah. that was a test email that I sent out that was using a
development tree. The production code will automatically have the
correct url.

Not sure when this will be in effect though since there is still some
debate whether this will annoy developers more than it will help.

I will start a thread on os-devel list asking for people's opinions.
