vmrc

Description of problem:
Having two icons for the vmrc seems little confusing and gives a feel of duplication.

Suggestion:
Having a single icon for vmrc with the drop-down having links to
1. VNC / Spice
2. VMRC HTML5 console
would make very precise

Note:
====
There are high chances that, if the application is not configured to the relevant options like vnc or spice or html5, application might throw error messages in production.log file. This needs to be captured and presented appropriately

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.4.0.0.11.20150309201930_8b6a235

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to Infrastructure ==> Virtual Machines ==> Select any one vm and click on it
2. Check for the VMRC icons next to the Power dropdown

Comment 3 Martin Povolny 2015-03-18 09:56:55 UTC
Dan, I have no idea. This it how it was done when I took over the task. I did not questions that aspect.

From a discussion with John Hardy I learned that in a near future we should have a "Remote Access" menu on the toolbar, that would contain all the relevant options. Including HTML5 spice/vnc console, VMRC console, SSH and display of system logs/first virtual console of a VM.

So sorry, I really don't know :-( Maybe we should just have 2 different icons for now? One for the VMRC or MKS and the other one for the HTML5 console?

Works for me as well.

Comment 8 Ramesh A 2015-05-15 12:26:38 UTC
Good to go. Verified and working fine in 5.4.0.1.20150512111354_4368716.

Now appliance displays two different icons for vmrc and html5 console. Refer the screenshot for more details.
