This enhancement adds support for using the Subscription Asset Manager (SAM) Account Name as an alternative to the user principal name when authenticating against Active Directory. This enables users to use their SAM account name in environments, using the SAM account name in place of the user's principal name for authentication.

Yes,...if I remember correctly,...this was on the 5.4 advisory, but then removed since it wasn't clear this could be fixed in time. Seeing that it is, I'll add to 5.4 advisory and fix the versioning info on this BZ. See above comment Okay, now I forget to clear the needinfo flag. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
