Description Bruno Wolff III 2015-04-02 17:30:11 UTC
Description of problem:
It should be possible to have python3-dnf-plugins-extras-rpmconf installed but not have it ask about rpmnew or rpmsave files at times. Otherwise scripted dnf updates don't work conveniently since they need input to complete. It might also be nice to have a mode where it only asks about newly created rpmnew and rpmsave files (during an update).

it's already so.

I think more better to patch plugin to check if user can input or it's script and then ignore plugin or not.

Does solution in comment 2 work for you? If yes - I will implement this.

Comment 4 Bruno Wolff III 2015-04-02 19:19:35 UTC
Solution 2 helps, but sometimes I just don't want to go through every rpmnew or rpmsave file.
Also some people might want a script to do something other than skip.

When I do dnf update I seem to get asked about every rpmnew or rpmsave file even when there aren't actually any updates.

BTW, you can also use "dnf --disableplugin=rpmconf ...".

Comment 6 Honza Silhan 2015-07-21 11:59:21 UTC
plugins from dnf-plugins-extras are now separated.
