Description of problem:
Memcached can't bind IPv6 address, there's a pull request upstream to fix that.
https://github.com/memcached/memcached/pull/98

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.4.17-3 (all releases currently)

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. memcached -l ::1
2.
3.

Actual results:
fails

Expected results:
should work

Additional info:
As a provenpackager, I can push the fix (likely F21+) but I prefer having memcached maintainer review that change first.
If he agrees or I get no answers in a reasonable amount of time, I'll push the patch directly. (coming, since I need this ticket number to be referenced in the commit message)

Patch generated with git, could be applied with git am.

Comment 4 Jan Kurik 2015-07-15 14:17:37 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 23 development cycle.
Changing version to '23'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 23 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 23 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 5 Miroslav Lichvar 2016-02-23 17:32:14 UTC
This should be fixed in the new upstream release 1.4.25.
