Description fedora_account 2015-04-11 05:02:26 UTC
Description of problem:

After installation of this rpm set, we see that no executable is installed into the path, and the rpm contains no documentation describing any steps which must be taken to complete the installation.

nwchem-6.5.26243-15.el6.x86_64
nwchem-common-6.5.26243-15.el6.noarch
nwchem-openmpi-6.5.26243-15.el6.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install nwchem* (from epel/testing)
2. rpm -ql nwchem (the nwchem rpm contains no files)
3. rpm -ql nwchem-common (contains numerous files but no executable or docs)
4. rpm -ql nwchem-openmpi (contains one library file)

Actual results:
I would expect the nwchem program to be installed which is compatible with the rhel/epel environment. If additional steps must be taken to complete the installation, then the documentation for these steps should be included in the rpms.

Expected results:
I would expect that either a working program would be installed into the path, or if additional installation steps are required then these steps should be described in documentation included in the rpms.
