Description of problem:
3.6.0 will add support for QCOW2 v3. We should enable customer to use new features this version enables. To do this we will need to provide a tool that will do the conversion.

This is already done in 4.1 right? Can this be closed as dup of the main RFE?

It is now being reviewed.
I would separate both RFEs, so one will be the new 1.1 compat for new volumes (which all of those patches were already merged), and use this RFE for the new amend operation.
But I guess it is up to the PM to decide how to handle it from the bugzilla POV.

Please handle the end to end feature in the original bug. No point is doing this in parts.
