Description haiyang,dong 2015-05-05 06:41:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Try used the follow cmd:
cdrecord dev=/dev/cdrw2 rhevh-6.7-20150424.0.el6ev.iso

to burn rhevh-6.7-20150424.0.el6ev.iso into cdrom media.
Then try boot it from uefi mode machine.
But boot rhevh from cdrom media failed and didn't enter boot menu of rhevh.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhevh-6.7-20150424.0.el6ev.iso
ovirt-node-3.2.2-3.el6.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Burn rhevh-6.7-20150424.0.el6ev.iso into cdrom media
2. Boot rhevh from cdrom media in uefi mode machine

Actual results:
After step2, boot rhevh from cdrom media failed in uefi mode machine

Expected results:
Boot rhevh from cdrom media and install rhevh in uefi mode machine successfully.

Additional info:
No this issue for rhevh-6.6-20150421.0.el6ev.iso, so consider it's a regression bug.

Comment 1 Ryan Barry 2015-05-05 17:07:34 UTC
I took a look at this, and I have absolutely no idea why it's happening.

From an immediate sense, it's happening because \EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi isn't being executed.

None of the files in \EFI\BOOT can be read by an EFI shell at all, though they all look fine when it's loopback mounted. Maybe just a bad build? I don't know. I'll try a scratch build of 6.6 and a scratch build of 6.7 later today to see if there are any obvious differences, but this is looking like a change in brew or a platform bug way below any level we're involved in.

Comment 7 Huijuan Zhao 2016-02-03 05:25:07 UTC
Test Version:
rhevh-7.2-20160126.0.el7ev.iso
ovirt-node-3.6.1-5.0.el7ev.noarch

Test Steps:
1. Burn rhevh-7.2-20160126.0.el7ev.iso into cdrom media
2. Boot rhevh from cdrom media in uefi mode machine

Test results:
Boot rhevh from cdrom media and install rhevh in uefi mode machine successfully.

So this bug is fixed in rhevh-7.2-20160126.0.el7ev.iso, change the status to VERIFIED.
