Description Francois Cartegnie 2015-05-05 13:48:28 UTC
Description of problem:

Samsung pushed a new update to workaround EVO 840 series issues.
That firmware EXT0DB6Q is now breaking queued trim commands, resulting in I/O errors and potential filesystem corruptions.

Systems are then unable to boot, unless all trim features are disabled.

A patch has just been accepted for vanilla kernels.

A backport might be required to 21/22 as this is widespread hardware.

Thanks for the report. I also saw this patch and was planning to backport it today. I've done so now and pushed it to Fedora git on all branches. It will be included in the next build on each.
