1. # katello-installer --foreman-admin-email 'root@localhost' --foreman-admin-username '<user>' --foreman-admin-password '<pass>' --capsule-parent-fqdn <fqdn> --capsule-dns true --capsule-dns-forwarders <ip1> --capsule-dns-forwarders <ip2>  --capsule-dns-interface virbr1 --capsule-dns-zone katellolabs.org --capsule-dhcp true --capsule-dhcp-interface virbr1 --capsule-tftp true --capsule-puppet true --capsule-puppetca true --capsule-register-in-foreman true --capsule-foreman-oauth-secret <hash> --capsule-pulp false


Actual results:
# katello-installer [...]
ERROR: Unrecognised option '--profile'

I got similar issue while upgrading the sat6.0.8 with sat6.1 GA snap3.

[root@sat6 yum.repos.d]# katello-installer --upgrade
ERROR: Unrecognised option '--profile'

Reopening this bug.  BZ 1205668 specifically talks about upgrade scenario only.

Sat 6.1 installation on rhel66 failed:

# katello-installer -d -v --capsule-tftp="true" --foreman-admin-password="changeme" --capsule-dhcp-interface="virbr1" --katello-proxy-password="redhat" --capsule-dns-interface="virbr1" --katello-proxy-port="3128" --capsule-dns="true" --capsule-register-in-foreman="true" --capsule-puppet="true" --capsule-puppetca="true" --capsule-dns-zone="***" --capsule-dhcp="true" --katello-proxy-url="***" --katello-proxy-username="***" --capsule-dns-forwarders="***" --capsule-dns-forwarders="***" --capsule-dns-forwarders="***"

Well, there's nothing to do for this bug. It was introduced by an incorrect cherry-pick, the new MR, as I mentioned in the other BZ, is open.

I'm moving this to POST, and can be MODIFIED when the downstream MR is merged.

Looks like the reported issue has been fixed in snap3 compose2. 

Comamnd `katello-installer --upgrade` didn't throw

This bug is slated to be released with Satellite 6.1.

This bug was fixed in version 6.1.1 of Satellite which was released on 12 August, 2015.
