Description of problem:
$ rpm -q fillets-ng
fillets-ng-1.0.1-2.fc20.x86_64

$ fillets
main.cpp:117: ERROR script failure; error='/usr/share/fillets-ng/script/init.lua:5: attempt to index global 'string' (a nil value)

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a terminal
2. Type 'fillets' at the prompt
3.

Error message (see 'Description of problem:' above)

Expected results:
The game runs.

Fedora 20, 64-bit, Intel i5-3570K, 8GB SDRAM, ASUS P8Z7 Motherboard, Z77 Chipset.

There is a lua compat package for 5.1 now. Using that might be a simple way to get fillets-ng working again.

It looks like this will probably work. I was able to do the first level with a test build. There could potentially be some gotchas due too differences between 5.1 and 5.0. Expect test builds to be showing up soon.

fillets-ng is currently broken on the games spin and it is a game I would like to feature. fillets-ng-1.0.7.f22 should fix the problem but may not have enough karma to move to stable before the freeze. The fillets-ng-data update is needed to fix this bug.

Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 22-final by Fedora user bruno using the blocker tracking app because:

 fillets-ng is intended to be  a featured game on the games spin, but the version currently in f22 does not start. The live media will not be affected  by updates.

Comment #1 had a typo. The fillets-ng-data update is NOT needed to fix this bug. fillets-ng 1.0.1 does work with the older data file. However, it will probably be better to get both packages updated,

Discussed at the 2015-05-11 blocker review meeting[0]. Voted as AcceptedFreezeException.

AGREED: 1220358 - AcceptedFreezeException - it'd be good to make sure all games on the games spin work, and this has no apparent chance of breaking anything anywhere else (adamw, 17:59:19)

fillets-ng-data-1.0.1-2.fc22, fillets-ng-1.0.1-7.fc22 has been pushed to the Fedora 22 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
