Description of problem:

small-file-perf is a file which has the optimizations related to small file performance. When tagged with the file on the volume, it enables open-behind and quick-read.

This file is missing from its usual location, /var/lib/glusterd/groups/

Steps to Reproduce:
--------------------
1. Tag the volume for small file performance
(i.e) gluster volume set <vol-name> small-file-perf

Actual results:
---------------
'small-file-perf' file is not available

Expected results:
-----------------
'small-file-perf' file should be available

Additional info:
-----------------
[root@~]# gluster volume set t group small-file-perf
Unable to open file '/var/lib/glusterd/groups/small-file-perf'. Error: No such file or directory

I am not sure what is the recent decision made on the availability of 'small-file-perf' optimization.

Will this optimization available or waiting on someone ?

Tagging the volume with small-file-perf file enables quick-read and open-behind on the volume. But open-behind is enabled by default on the RHGS 3.1 volumes.
quick-read is already turned-on on gluster volumes.

So, I don't find the use of this file - small-file-perf
Any thoughts ?

I agree with you. I have opened a doc BZ 1238546 to remove this option from Admin Guide.

Satheesaran, with that should we close this bug as WONT_FIX?
