Description of problem:
Would it be possible to disable installation of new packages due to update?

Since I am using Rawhide, there are quite commonly introduced new dependencies, which should not be there. It is pretty annoying that if I want to avoid installation of newly introduced packages, I have to specify them one by one. It would be nice to disable the installation by single switch and later check these new dependencies and install them one by one if needed.

Install   26 Packages
Upgrade  514 Packages
Remove     4 Packages


Expected results:
Onlye the packages without new dependencies are installable.

Additional info:
The main annoyance is that I have to scroll 500 lines up to select the newly installed packages to disable them on command line one by one ... each time scroll, select, writhe -x and paste ...

Just FTR, this is the amount of upgraded packages, when I disable the newly installed packages one by one:

Upgrade  479 Packages

i.e. 514 + 26 + 4 - 479 = 65 packages will remain for then next installation iteration, this is much easier to handle.

Hi, I am not sure how popular will this be for other users. We don't want to introduce new and new options without huge demand. Would you be satisfied with just `dnf update --setopt=exclude="$(dnf list recent -q)"`?

Not sure what the command does. Why the recently added should not be installed? Nevertheless it does not work at all for me:

# dnf update --setopt=exclude="$(dnf list recent -q)"
-bash: /bin/dnf: Argument list too long
