If I click on the 'export' menu bar entry no menu appears.
(This was working until recently - not sure when, but I've exported in the last couple of weeks)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start digikam
2. Click 'Export'
3.

Actual results:
No menu, if I start digikam from a terminal I see:

QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted

Expected results:
The export menu letting me choose what to export to.

Works for me.
Do you have installed kipi-plugins?

Ah, interesting; no, I seemed to have lost the kipi-plugins package (I had libkipi); installing kipi-plugins and it's happy again.

Should this be a dependency - I guess not; it's very odd for a menu item not to display anything when clicked on.

Comment 3 Rex Dieter 2015-05-16 17:33:45 UTC
kipi-plugins are purely optional, but perhaps we could leverage f22's new support for soft dependencies here, and use:

Recommends: kipi-plugins
